Where to start.
I was injured about 7 months ago. I am so much better than I was and I've learned a lot about how to cope with this injury and have received a lot of help in the healing process from others who have gone through this injury prior to myself.
My other blog is a little on the personal side. It has been therapeutic for me to record and share my feelings and progress as I moved through the stages of recovery. If you have followed it you can see the highs and lows that I've experienced from the start.
Over the last couple of months I have been asked to start my own site. I like the free flowing nature of the the blog format. You may remain anonymous or you may identify yourself. You can post if you wish or lurk, either is fine for this site as it hopefully will become a data base for the newly injured to find help.
Make as many entries as you wish come back as often as you need to but I must remind you that part of the healing process will require to to eventually move on. So if I give you a gentle nudge to move on it's only because I care.
I have several threads in mind but feel free to add on.

Just starting to deal with this now. Left side of my tongue is totally numb 5 days after lower wisdom tooth extraction. It is difficult to eat anything that requires chewing without biting my tongue, and talking feels weird though everyone says I sound fine.
ReplyDeleteI actually broke down crying for like an hour over it today. I just want to know for sure that it will get better, the not knowing is killing me!
Thank you so much for this blog, I have bookmarked it to help keep me positive as I deal with this and I will try and post updates here myself. I am really hoping it will be gone in only a couple of weeks!?!
I have made notes for when I see my dentist again in a few days.. I am going to ask him about the custom bite guard, vitamin B, Acetyl-L-Carnitine, and Soft Laser therapy you mentioned. I hope that will help!! So scared right now!
